Caseless Ammunition for Mod. VEC 91
The caseless ammunition consists out of a nitrocellulose compound. The cartridge burns in the rifle completely. The ignition charge is a semi conductor that needs a certain current and voltage for ignition. In the picture below there is a cut away of the ammuniton. The yellow is the actual charge, the white is a booster igniting the charge. On the very bottom is the semiconductor consisting out of several layers.
