A little history...

1948

It all started in the little town of Furtwangen in Germany's Black Forest.

The engineer E.Voetter founded the metal-working company KOMA, initially for the production of  bicycle pumps and footballs..

1950

1955

The company was renamed with the trade name VOERE, from the founders of the company VOEtter and REstle.The production of small bore rifles also started.

1965

Expansion and founding of the Kufstein factory, for the production of small bore bolt action hunting rifles and shotgun-rifles.

1972

Development of a worldwide first – the anti-terror weapon AM 180 with laser sighting. The AM180 has the highest repetition rate of any rifle at 30 shots per second!

1980

Diversification into environmental technology. Production of compost shredders for horticulture.

1989

Fusion of VOERE with the trading company  Kufsteiner Gerätebau und Handelsgesm.b.H to form the VOERE-KGH.m.b.H.

1991

Presentation of a hunting rifle with caseless ammunition and electric firing.

From weapon production to supplier of specialist parts

For approaching 60 years VOERE has been a business partner which can be relied upon. Keeping up with the times has meant measuring up to new challenges and having a feel for customers needs.

VOERE has an international reputation for the production of guns for hunting and sport, which are distributed globally.

Another area of activity is the manufacture of precision components for other branches of industry, such as mechanical engineering, plant construction, hitech and electronics. Customers can rely on quality and time of delivery.

Training

Since its foundation, VOERE has trained apprentices as fitters, toomakers and at times as gunsmiths. The training takes place both in the company's apprentice workshop, and also directly in production. The apprentices learn the fundamentals of metalworking, are trained on CNC machines and prepared for work in the high-precision area. Currently 10 apprentices are being trained at VOERE.

Semi-skilled employees have their own training scheme, to that each employee has the opportunity to advance his career according to his or her ambition and performance. We take pride in the fact that almost all of our management had their training here.
